Demonstration videos are now available on the hymnal website. They are intended to be helpful introductions of hymns and songs in the new Presbyterian hymnal, Glory to God. These videos are neither professional ensembles, nor professional recordings, but are simply suggestions for learning music and worship practices. More videos will be added throughout the year. We hope these will be assets to pastors and musicians exploring the new hymnal.
Some new hymns and songs featured in these videos will be used in our sing-along campaign, Many Voices, One Song. Presbyterians are invited to sing the same song in worship on these dates, uniting our hearts, minds, and voices as we glorify God. Old favorite hymns were chosen from the "red" 1955 and "blue" 1990 hymnals, as well as some new songs that will be in the next Sampler. Congregations may want to learn a new song before the selected date. Use the demo videos onlne as a resource for preparing the congregation.
The final list of contents (text, author, tune, and composer) will be listed online Easter Monday, April 9. Come and sing a new song to the Lord!
