The Hymnal Project office has been working hard on the final contents list. Because the PCOCS's process maintained author, composer, and copyright anonymity, it has taken several weeks to check files and tidy the list. Work is almost complete! We will post the list (text, author, tune, and composer) on our website Easter Monday (April 9, 2012). This is well ahead of schedule of the originally-scheduled July presentation.
Participants at General Assembly will still be among the first to receive a new hymnal sampler; the sampler will be published in early June. Every PC(U.S.A.) congregation and institution will be mailed a copy of the sampler. Congregations will then be able to order additional copies for just the price of shipping & handling.
We are heavily involved in production and pre-publication work: researching, proof-reading, and typesetting the sampler and Glory to God. Orders are arriving, classes are learning, and congregations are singing. Please keep our staff and volunteers in your prayers. Let this work be to God's glory and not our own!
